WHO WE ARE
Guess what? If you are a parent at Alcuin, you are already part of the Club! This is YOU! APC is made up of each and every one of us and together, we work to increase our involvement, commitment and participation in all things Alcuin.

VOLUNTEER
Alcuin has a thriving parent community that is incredibly generous with their talents, time and energy. The best way to get involved and be a part of this amazing community is to volunteer. Whether you have a little time to give or a lot, there is a place for you! Links to volunteer in the different events and committees are included throughout this Parent Guide.
ATTEND EVENTS
Another way to get involved with the community is to attend our events! Whether a talent showcase, the school musical, a party or festival, incredible things happen at Alcuin year-round. We are providing a calendar so you can save the dates for many of them, from family events like Fall Festival or WinterFest, to parent-only parties like Auction! There will also be surprise pop-up events (called BEST parties) - stay tuned!
ROOM PARENTS & PARENTS LIAISONS
Our community would not be what it is without our wonderful room parents and parent liaisons, who will be supporting the school in communicating important information class-wide, and organizing class get-togethers. Room parents are your ambassadors and will ensure your questions are answered, and keep the communication going!

Alcuin has many opportunities to be a part of the team, and/or cheer for them! Whether it is basketball, soccer, volleyball or more, our games are always fun for the entire family.
PARENT EDUCATION
What would a community of life-long learners be if we were not all learning? Montessori educational philosophy assumes reinforcement of its methods at home, as well as at school. Parents participate in opportunities offered by the school to familiarize themselves with these expectations. At Alcuin School, parents work alongside faculty to help their children attain their full potential. There will be many opportunities for you to learn more about the Alcuin programs, Montessori and IB education, and also a variety of experts discussing different topics to support the partnership between the school and your family.
